Friday 24
July 2009
(Pece Siljanovski) - Former National
Soccer League player Robert Spasevski has been appointed
as the new coach of Preston Lions Womens Football Club.
Spasevski
went through the ranks as a junior at Preston Lions
before being selected in the Australian U17 squad. He
would then go on to play for Preston Makedonia (Preston
Lions FC) in the old NSL for a total of 104 matches for
the Lions from 1989 to 1995.
On behalf of
the club I would like to welcome Spasevski to his old home
and would like to wish him the best of luck.
The club
would also like to thank former coach Andy Fry for all his
work with the Lionesses and the club during the past two
years, especially last season when the club achieved its
best ever result in the WPL. We wish him the best of luck
in his future endeavours.

Spasevski's first match as coach was against Bendigo
