(Pece Siljanovski) - The Preston Lions Womens Football Club
last Thursday
held its Season Launch of the 2009 Victorian Womens
Premier League (WPL).
Lionesses
coach Andy Fry announced that the club will look to make
its mark on the competition and play finals football again
in 2009.
The players
were presented with their new 2009 strip from COVO, the
strip that commemorates Preston Lions 50th Anniversary.
The club
announced that its major sponsor for the 2009 season will
be long time club sponsor P&G Genis Steel Construction.
The Lionesses
begin their assault on the 2009 WPL Season on Tuesday 14th
April 2009 against Bendigo Vipers at Darebin International
Sports Centre from 7.00pm for the Reserves and 9.00pm for
the Seniors.
