 Lionesses
in Womens Premier League Finals!

The Preston Lions Football Club is proud to announce that
its womens
squad in the Womens Victorian Premier League (WPL) will
participate in the 2008 WPL Finals Series.
Although the
Lionesses secured their finals spot in their 2-3 win last
week against the Casey Comets, the Lionesses today
confirmed their status with a great 3-1 win against Eltham
North at BT Connor Reserve.
The Lionesses
have finished off a very successful 2008 WPL "home and
away" season, finishing on third spot of the ladder. This
is the first time the women of the Preston Lions have
finished in the top six and to participate in the finals
of the WPL.
Fixtures are
still to be released of the 2008 WPL Finals Series by
Football Federation Victoria (FFV).

coaching staff and the womens committee and we wish them
the best of luck in the finals series.
