Saturday
21 February 2009
The Preston Lions Football Club is
pleased to
announce its
squad for the 2009 Victorian Premier League.
The squad is
a mixture of experience and youth, with Mario Ladnjak and
Lupce Koceski earning a promotion from the Lions Under
21's squad. In fact the club is proud that the 2009 squad
consists of nine players that have previously represented
the Preston Lions Under 21's development squad.
New
inclusions into the squad include Ivan Filipovic (St
Albans Saints), Damir Salcin (St Albans Saints), Marko
Lazarevic (FK Radnicki NIS, Serbia), Stuart Wilson (V.I.S),
Nasser Curo (Melbourne Knights) and FFV 2005 Under 21's
Player of the Year Serkan Oksuz (Western Suburbs) who
returns to the Lions after his first stint from 2005 to
2006.
Michael
Bosevski has been named captain of the 50th Anniversary
Squad, with former Macedonian international Blaze
Georgioski named as vice-captain, and youngster Michael
Miskas being promoted to the leadership group as deputy
vice-captain.
