Preston
Lions FC to introduce a junior team for children
with a disability
Wednesday 03 March 2010
Preston Lions Football Club, Football Federation
of Victoria (FFV) and City of Darebin's Access for
All Abilities (AAA) program want to set up a
junior football (soccer) team for both boys and
girls with a disability.
The
program will revolve around learning the skills of
the game in a group environment, where the focus
is on fun, participation and making new friends.
In
line with
Football Federation
Australia (FFA) Disability Action Plan,
the Preston Lions Football Club strongly supports
the right of people with disabilities to
participate in football (soccer) and we are
committed to developing an environment where
accessibility and diversity are valued and
nurtured.
