VALE: Josif "Boshko" Ognenovski
Saturday
08 March 2008
The Preston Lions Football Club was saddened to hear of the passing of Josif "Boshko" Ognenovski on Wednesday 5 March 2008.

The long-time supporter of the Lions was the father of former Preston player Sasa Ognenovski who wore the red and yellow shirt from 1997 to 2000 and 2003 to 2004 before he transferred to apply his trade in the A-League.

Josif was well known amongst the Preston faithful, he supported his club during the highs of when the club was competing in the National Soccer League as Preston Makedonia to the current level of the Victorian Premier League. His trademark chant of "MMMAAAKKKEEEDDDOOONNNIIIAAA" will also be sadly missed.

The Preston Lions players in tribute will wear black arm bands during this Sunday's Foxtel Cup (VPL) clash with Heidelberg United at BT Connor Reserve and everyone present will observe a one minute silence.

The Committee, members and supporters of the Preston Lions Football Clubs sends its deepest sympathies to Josif's family and friends.
