Preston Lions Football Club is excited
to announce that it recently achieved Group Stage
Accreditation of Football Federation Victoria's (FFV)
Football ACE Program.
FFV with support from the Department of Sport and
Recreation Victoria (SRV) and Football Federation
Australia (FFA) launched Football ACE in 2009 as its club
development program.
Football ACE encourages clubs throughout Victoria to
achieving club excellence (ACE), fostering best practise
in club management and development, ensuring existing and
new club members receive a quality experience when they
join a club, and providing an environment that is
attractive to sponsors as well as developing a sense of
community with all key stakeholders.
"We are proud
that we were able to achieve
Group Stage Accreditation ahead of all Men's Victorian
Premier League and Victorian State League Division One
clubs" stated club Secretary Pece Siljanovski.
"We are
committed to implementing polices that will ensure the
club remains one of Victoria's leading clubs. Having spent
many years in the states top tier competition, this year
the Senior Men's compete in the Victorian State League
Division One competition, the Senior Women's side compete
in the Victorian Women's Premier League, and the club is
investing heavily into its junior program. The Lions will
also introduce a team for children with disabilities in
2010 ensuring that the club will continue to serve the
community in almost every sector of the sport". |
